I really enjoy markets, and the night market in Luang Prabang was really interesting to walk around in. No one was pushy, just really friendly. I tried taking a few pictures, but the lights made my photos blurry. I ended up really liking the effect with this one.
Several years ago, I was in Ushuaia, Argentina for just a day after an Antarctica cruise. Since my friend and I got off the ship in the morning and our flight to Buenos Aires wasn’t until that night, we spent a few hours at Tierra del Fuego National Park. It was a gorgeous park, and [...]
October is done and gone. We had a big snow a few weeks ago and it is rainy and cold and dark. Winter is coming, but so are Christmas markets. Time for another round-up of the daily photos on Ctrl-Alt-Travel. They get put up every morning to remind you what day it is and provide [...]

We wandered through the streets on our only night there, taking pictures of the architecture and fountains like this one, and enjoying the breeze from the ocean. It’s definitely a city we need to return to.
